Hot to Bars to Liven Up the Local Night Life! If you are planning a night out in San Francisco, check out these top new joints!
With tasty bites like loaded baked potatoes served with hot miso butter and bacon or patty melts served with dry aged beef and special sauce, this hot spot that just opened in December offers more than just drinks. Although fresh beverages like the Top Dawg, which includes a refreshing mix of rancio wine along with fermented tonic served with a rim of smoked salt and black sudachi, make True Laurel a place worth visiting.
A new upstairs bar located inside China Live, Cold Drinks is the place to be on a hopping Saturday night in the city. Chill on velvet gray couches or metallic black and gold bar chairs while eating from the Scotch-forward cocktail menu. Beverage selections range from creamy to neat with a touch of booze. Try the Long Islay iced tea, served in a giant pineapple!
Charmaine’s and Villon
Situated above Proper Hotel, these two joints make up a glamorous rooftop bar above the city. With fire pits, amazing bar food, couches and a fantastic view, Charmaine’s is a great place to stop. Try the Bay Area version of a dirty martini with local aquavit, bay-laurel brine, and vermouth. Make sure you head downstairs while there for an elegant atmosphere with great drinks in Villon.
Rusted Mule has it all: classic cocktails for only $9 and a sweet chic space that features a unique green floor with an onyx bar. This bar has three lounges and a mezzanine with works by local artists. Fancy pub fare can be found on the menu including garlic fries and carrot corn dogs at the “happiest weekend of the year.”
