7 Hollywood stars who spent their developing years in the Valley.
The Bay Area offers more than a technological hub to our nation. A number of Hollywood stars were rooted in the Bay Area including Billie Joe Armstrong, James Franco, George Lucas and Carlos Santana. Before they were famous, these celebrities spent some of their time developing in or near San Francisco.
X-Men’s Sabretooth and theater actor, Live Schreiber, was born in the Bay Area before making a move to Canada with his family, eventually landing in the Big Apple.

Most famously known as Cher from Clueless, Alicia Silverstone’s real upbringing took place in SF where she lived in the neighborhood of Hillsborough. This area is filled with sprawling mansions of Silicon Valley millionaires and SF socialites.
