One of the biggest issues you can run into on doing these dadu developments in backyards is you really have to pay attention to trees. Trees can make or break your development. That one tree right there is 80% on our lot and 20% on the neighbor's.
That tree with its root system basically made it so that we had to push our dadu further towards the house which limited the size of the dadu that we could actually build. So when you look at these developments you really want to pay attention to trees because the trees can really shrink what you want to build or you might not be able to build at all. Another tip when developing dadu is regarding trees.
Some trees we can remove, some you need to permit, some need to stay. And you need to understand this in the very beginning. You can hire an arborist.
They can let you know what trees will have to stay, which ones you need to permit, and then once you know all that you can pass that information over to your designer or your architect and that will give you a better blueprint of what you can do on your lot.
