Real estate investors always ask me, how do you keep eyes on your projects when you're not there? Here's my secret, solar powered Arlo cameras. We mount Arlo cameras with solar panels on our job sites, no power cords, no battery swaps.
The sun keeps them charged year round. To keep them online, we pay our tenants $20 a month for Wi-Fi access, that's it. I can check live feeds from anywhere, get motion alerts straight to my phone and know exactly what's happening on the site, whether it's progress from contracts or just keep an eye on security.
Setup is affordable, each Arlo camera runs about $120 to $200. Solar panels are about $40 to $100. And with the $20 Wi-Fi stipend, you get a system that pays for itself and peace of mind.
If you're investing out of state or managing multiple projects, this setup is a no brainer.
