Once you get your permits in hand, how long does it take to build a datu in your experience?
[Ian Love] (0:05 - 0:43)
From my experience, a ballpark estimate is about six months and that's assuming that you have your builder teed up and ready to go once you're done with permits. So before you're even done with permits, when you have a final set of plans, you're going to want to be going to different builders and walking through those plans, going through timing, because they're going to have to essentially get all of their subcontractors lined up to do your project as well. So if everything's lined up and ready to go, six months is a good estimate, but if you wait until you get permits and then you start going shopping and start working with different builders and getting estimates and things of that nature, it's going to take you quite a bit longer than that six months.
So six months if you got everything teed up, a year if you don't.
