Ask the Question Before It’s Too Late

[Stephen Husted] (0:00 - 0:37)

I got to learn to trust my gut more often. So the tenant that just moved out of my property out in Michigan, I just got off the phone with her. I needed to get her, her security deposit back.

And I asked her where she moved to. And she said that we bought a house. And I go, no way, that's so cool.

Congratulations. And I go, you know what? I was thinking about reaching out to you a few months ago to see if you wanted to buy the property.

And she's like, really? You should have. We probably would have bought yours.

And I'm like, oh my gosh, of course. I don't know why I had that in the back of my head to ask her. And I don't know why I didn't, but I'm happy for her that she bought a house.

She was a great tenant, but that's the learning lesson. Got to trust your gut. She's usually always right.
